Why Give?

Burnaby is a dynamic, diverse and changing community. As the cityscape has shifted, many Burnaby residents are struggling:

1 in 5 children are living in poverty.
16.1% of the seniors are living in poverty, and over 3,000 are experiencing isolation.
5% of eligible workers are unemployed and 34.2% of the households make less than a living wage.

Where will my donation go towards?

We could not do what we do without the generous support of our community. Funding is not always guaranteed and therefore we rely greatly on gifts from individuals in our community.

$100 will help us send a child from a low income household to summer camp.
$50 will help us buy toys for two children from a family with low-income through the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.
$120 will cover the cost of escorting a senior to their medical appointments for one full month through our Seniors Transportation Program.
$200 will provide a Christmas hamper to two seniors with low income.
$500 will help the Burnaby Christmas Bureau provide support to families, at-risk individuals, and seniors in need this holiday season.

Last year, with help from donors like yourself, we made the holiday season brighter for over 3,500 people– including families, children, at-risk individuals and seniors with low income. Each year, we strive to expand our reach to help more people in need and, in order to do so, we need help from you.
